The Rochester Guitar Club

My name is Mark Grover. I have been a regular meeting attendee for the last 2 years. I live about 50 miles south of the city so it's quite a drive, but well worth it. I have more influences and interests than I could ever possibly list. I started out playing hard rock and thrash metal on my electric guitar, then was in a punk band, then a blues band. Then everyone that I used to jam with grew up and moved away and I was left to play by myself. I found that instrumental fingerstlye gutiar lended it's self to a lot of fullness of sound and, with enough going on, could entertain a croud without the need to subject them to my "singing" (I personally can't stand my voice). That being said, I don't feel that I am much of an entertainer. I have a pretty nasty stage fright problem. A problem that the club is helping me with so that I may spread the gospel of fingerstyle. I really love what you guys are doing for myself and people like me. Thanks!
